The Fifteenth Annual Morris Museum of Art Gala, this year honoring internationally renowned realist painter John Baeder, is Friday, March 7, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. A cocktail reception, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the museum galleries, provides attendees an opportunity to view the popular Pleasant Journeys and Good Eats along the Way: A Retrospective Exhibition of Paintings by John Baeder before it leaves Augusta for a three-city tour. Also on view that evening is an exhibition highlighting some of the wonderful art acquired by the museum through the gala over its fifteen-year history.
Delicious, upscale diner-style fare served from multiple food stations, dancing to the Del Baroni Orchestra, and a silent auction highlight the rest of the evening’s festivities under the gala tent at 8:00 p.m.
Tickets include all the evening’s festivities, as well as a copy of a reproduction of Peace Love War, personally signed by John Baeder. Only 550 reservations can be accepted. Click Order Event Tickets above for purchasing information.
